A fun, playful custom cabinet designed and built by Wouter himself, made of various thicknesses of MDF blank. The beautiful color blue completes the cupboard completely.
Description by Wouter
I made a wall cupboard that fits exactly in a niche in my house. with a height of 2.60 meters and a width of 2.10 meters.
How I made this project
- First of course I measured everything carefully
- Keep in mind that you need a bit of space to open the cupboard door.
- I put the cupboard itself together with dowels and wood glue. I used dowel centering points. This makes everything look nice and straight.
- I also built the cupboard in two parts, the bottom and top piece.
- Before you paint the cupboard, it is smart to cut the end edges of the wood with wood glue so that you get a nice smooth front and that all your paint is not absorbed by the wood.
- Keep in mind that the material is heavy, so you may need a few hands when placing the top of the cabinet.
- Have fun and have fun designing!
