We wanted to use this little corner in a more useful way than just with the Ikea Stuva sofa. We turned it into a sofa/desk using pine boards.

How I made this project

Because it is a small corner, we wanted to make optimal use of the space. We therefore chose to rest the sides on the plinth. This gives just a little more space to use this bench as a desk. A chair can then be placed where the toy basket is now. We used the total width of the corner and the height and depth of the stuva sofa. First we attached the sides to the wall above the baseboard. Then we attached the top. Finally, the center piece, which we attached to the Stuva bench.

Dimensions of my DIY project

The bench is 146.2 cm wide, 49.4 cm high and 52 .5 cm deep.
