Make your own custom audio furniture with sawn MDF 22mm, by Floris

In this project, Floris shows how he went about customizing his budget-friendly audio furniture. By ordering custom sawn MDF online, making your own furniture is a lot easier. Depending on the number and size of your electrical devices, you can tailor the audio furniture exactly to your needs.

Commercial solutions either turned out to be too expensive or they turned out not to be sturdy enough for the equipment that had to be housed in them. So I came up with a solution myself.

How I made this project

I ordered the MDF to size online. In this case it involved 5 planks measuring 60x40cm, the edges of which were nicely rounded. Then drill holes (22mm) for the threaded rods in each plank, 300mm from the edge. Then it was a matter of attaching the planks in the desired proportions using the nuts. Of course, care was also taken to ensure that they were level. At the bottom a few pieces of felt and there was a sturdy custom-made structure.
