Save energy by closing the open stairs to the attic yourself with custom MDF, by Ciska

Ciska closed her open stairs to the attic herself. This will save her energy. For this purpose she has ordered custom-made MDF primed panels. When sealing a staircase with custom wood, it is important to measure carefully first. The panels can easily be ordered to size online. A closed staircase, for example to the attic, helps save energy.

Description of Ciska

Due to rising energy prices, we have the open staircase to the 2nd floor (attic). closed. The heat from the house previously had free rein to the attic. (additional costs!)

How I made this project

While planning the job, we received a tip from another customer. We selected an applicable material, carefully measured the gaps between the steps and ordered it in the webshop. The internet site works well and is very clear. We received the pictures as ordered. The ordered MDF plates could then be mounted on the stairs with virtually no adjustments. Hopefully this will make a difference to the gas bill in the long term.
